Fall Fun in Kindergarten

On September 28, the Kindergartners and their Prayer Partners from Grade 5 traveled to Apple Acres inWindham,NHto pick apples.  First we learned how apple cider is made, and then we saw the large machine that cuts and peels apples.  We walk to the orchard to pick our apples and next Farmer Sam took us for a wagon ride around the orchard.  After we finished the scavenger hunt, we all enjoyed fresh apple cider and home made donuts.

We arrived home with two large bags of apples and 2 pumpkins.  I asked the children what they wanted to do with the apples and they all voted to make apple pie.  So with the help of Mrs. Bellino and Mrs. Jordan we made 19 mini apple pies.  Do you know how may apples it takes to make 18 pies?   A lot!
