Sixth Week of School

PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Greetings St. Francis Families,

We had a great week last week.  This week – can we just get a break with all this rain?! Our poor 5th & 6th graders are at Nature’s Classroom.  Luckily there are plenty of indoor activities for them to do.  Good news is that the weather should be improving through tomorrow through the end of the week.  On Thursday, Father Ray and I will make the trek up to Maine to pay a visit to our water-logged students (and teachers & chaperones).

Speaking of rain, this morning I thought it only made sense to allow parents to drive up and drop-off their children under the canopy at the front door.  In the future, if it is pouring down rain, or whatever else comes from the sky (sleet, hail, snow, fire & brimstone) and you notice the cones are not blocking the driveway, feel free to pull up to the door to drop off.  I don’t intend to stand outside from 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. every morning we encounter bad weather.  Likewise, if a mistake has been made and the cones are not blocking the drive, but you see children on the playground or it’s apparent the weather is not bad enough to warrant indoor morning recess – please drop your child off at the sidewalk as you normally would.

Today you should receive your child(ren)’s progress report(s). Keep in mind this is a general snapshot as to where your child stands today.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your child(ren)’s teacher directly.

Please consider purchasing a ticket to our Reverse Raffle being held at the end of the month.  Aside from it being a fundraiser for our school, it will also be a great opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, good food and great company.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!
