The mission of the Saint Francis of Assisi Advisory Board is to collaborate with the principal and the pastor to promote and sustain the mission of Saint Francis of Assisi School.

The composition of the Board shall, if possible, include representation from the following constituencies: alumni, pastor, parents, and community members at large. All attempts will be made to achieve a balanced membership from these groups.  Ideally, current parent membership should not exceed one third of the total Board membership. The principal and the pastor of the parish are ex officio members of the Board.

Over the course of the 2016-17 School Year, the St. Francis School Board will convene on August 25th, November 15th, February 21st and May 23rd.

Board Members

  • Mr. Tim Mark, Chairman
Tim and his wife Lynn have two children at St. Francis School, Aaron and Leah.
Tim is employed as a software engineer at Oracle and lives with his family in Goffstown. He has been a communicant at Ste. Marie Parish in Manchester for over 25 years. Tim and Lynn have fallen in love with our beautiful little Catholic school in the country. He also prays regularly for the students, staff, and volunteers at St. Francis School.
  • Mrs. Monique Niemaszyk
Monique Niemaszyk and her husband, Mark, are Lichfield residents. Their youngest of five children is a sixth grader at St Francis. Monique is a registered nurse, an award winning author of three Catholic fiction novels, a retreat master for the Little Daughters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and  a high school life science teacher. She was also a homeschooling mom for eighteen years. Monique and her family are not only communicants of St Mark’s in Londonderry, but also frequent visitors to St John’s Seminary since their oldest son is a seminarian there. Monique is passionate about being Catholic and enthusiastic about education. She hopes to not only be a support to the principal but also a voice that will prayerfully follow God’s plan for our little St Francis School.
  • Mrs. Maryan Cuevas
Maryan and her husband Roberto have two children who both attend St. Francis of Assisi School. They are both very active at helping out our wonderful school. Maryan works as a software engineer for Raytheon as does her husband. She was born in Puerto Rico and is bilingual. Maryan is the head of our Parent Activities Council.

Hugo and Karen have three children and twelve grandchildren scattered around the USA. Hugo is now retired from the aerospace industry, where he was selected as one of the Top 25 Hispanic Executives in US industry for 2005. He was invited to join the St. Francis Board of Advisors by Tim Mark and was very excited to accept after researching the true Catholic values and principles observed at St.Francis School, and the importance of preserving and expanding those values in today’s world. Hugo now prays regularly for the continued success of the school. It is his commitment to support Mark’s work in every way possible, with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Mr. John McCarthy
John McCarthy grew up in rural New Mexico and met his wife Aja in college. They were married at St. Patrick’s Parish in Nashua in 2013. For the past three years he has been a visiting fellow at Thomas More College of Liberal Arts in Merrimack and he began teaching full-time there this fall. John and his wife live in Manchester with their son and are expecting their second child in November. The family is committed to helping the mission of St. Francis in any way they can and John is therefore honored to serve on the board.
