UNIFORM GUIDELINES FOR GIRLS

Dress Uniform – Must be worn on School Mass Days (usually Thursdays) and may be worn during Regular Uniform days as desired.

  • Kindergarten – 4th Grade
    • plaid jumper
    • collared, solid white uniform blouse
    • plaid tie
    • navy or white tights or socks (must cover ankle)
  • 5th – 6th Grade
    • Same as K-4th, but may wear plaid skirt instead of jumper
  • Pre-School – Pre-Kindergarten
    • Same as K-4th, but may wear solid navy jumper instead of plaid
  • All Grades – Footwear
    • Non-scuffing navy, brown or black leather-type dress shoe
  • All Grades – Optional for cold weather to be worn over the uniform
    • Navy or Burgundy uniform sweater or vest

Regular Uniform – May be worn on any day other than Gym and Mass days.

  • Navy slacks (ankle length – made of wool, corduroy, twill or polyester) Sweatpants, denims, stretch pants, bib-type pants, baggy, wide leg/bell bottoms and low rise pants are not allowed.
  • White blouse, polo or turtleneck
  • Navy or white tights or socks (must cover ankle – no emblem or logo)
  • Non-scuffing navy, brown or black shoes or white or black low-top leather athletic sneakers (light-up or noise making shoes, boots, clogs, crocs, sandals or sneakers other than previously described are prohibited. Shoes with laces must be tied. Winter boots and wet shoes must be removed before entering the classroom)
  • Optional Season Choices
    • Cold Weather (Anytime)
      • St. Francis of Assisi School sweatshirt or plain gray sweatshirt
      • Navy or Burgundy uniform sweater or vest
    • Warm Weather (May 1st – October 31st)
      • Navy walking shorts or skort hemmed to no more than 2” above the knee.

GIRLS GROOMING

  • Hair
    • Neat with bangs trimmed above the eyebrows
    • Accessories must be in the hair, not on wrists, and not distracting due to size or color – no beads or scarves allowed
    • Unnatural coloring or bleaching is not permitted
  • Accessories
    • Cosmetics, colored lip gloss/chap stick or artificial or colored nails are prohibited
    • Visible tattoos – permanent or temporary – are prohibited
    • Body piercing is not allowed.  However, one set of pierced ears in which a pair of earrings no larger than a dime and without hoops may be worn is permitted
    • Jewelry – limited to one watch (non-beeping), one ring and a simple cross or holy medal on a silver or gold chain
