Many of today’s families are faced with special challenges for child care. St. Francis School recognizes the need for and is happy to provide safe and reliable child care both before and after regular school hours.
The extended day program provides care both before and after school for all current students at St. Francis School on days school is in session.
After School Group:
The After School Group is held from 2:10 – 5:45 p.m. Children participate in age appropriate recreational activities under adult supervision. Some activities include outdoor free play, afternoon snack, quiet homework time, planned craft activities and indoor games.
Your child must attend school for the full day on any day he/she plans to attend the After School Group.
Before School Care:
Before School Care begins at 7:00 a.m. You may drop your child off any time between 7-7:30 a.m. in the school library.
Payment for the Before School Program is due weekly in advance.
General Policies:
At 7:30 a.m., all children are escorted to the playground, weather permitting, for the regular arrival supervision.
A child will only be released to a parent or to an individual who has been authorized in writing to pick up the child. Parents are required to sign out their children when picking them up. Children will be released into the care of a non-custodial parent unless documents to the contrary are on file in the office.
Children requiring medication while in the extended day programs will be administered the medication provided there is a written note on file from the parents and the prescribing physician. Said note should grant permission to the school to administer the medication and provide dosage instructions. All medication must be in the original container.
Fee Policy:
The fees for the program are calculated based on 36 payments of $65. Siblings receive a 10% discount. There are 36 weeks in the school year. There is no adjustments for shortened weeks since the fees are charged by the number of school days. Payments are due each Friday, a week in advance of the service. After the 36 payments have been made, no further payments are necessary. For part-time students in the program, fees are due a week in advance. Payments may also be made monthly by enrollment in the FACTS plan for electronic funds transfer. All checks should be made out to “St. Francis School”.
The weekly rate remains the same whether or not a child attends each day. Money will not be refunded for cancellations after the weekly payment is made.
There is a daily rate for children registered for three or fewer days a week. Children on a daily rate must be registered for specific days. Changes on those days may be made on a space availability basis.

Before School Only: $15 per week or $3 per day
Returned Check Fee: $39
